HANDLING

Surface: The surface must be clean, dry and grease free to achieve an optimum adhesion.

Do not use Carbo Spray on the following surfaces: Wash Primer, Epoxy Primer, Epoxy Filler. This could cause a chemical reaction and the ground might become smooth again.

Tip: When using Epoxy- use a water-based Epoxy. It is absolute necessary to carry out a test beforehand. To isolate the surface you may apply one thin layer clear coat.

Mixing instructions: Add 2 – 2,5 % by weight MEKP hardener. The components should be mixed thoroughly, otherwise there may be a higher sensitivity to moisture.

Thinner: The viscosity of Carbo Spray is already set to spray viscosity, but should a lower viscosity is desired, up to max. 2,5% Carbo-Spray thinner may be added. Application: Gravity spray gun, jet size 2,5 mm diameter, working pressure 2 – 3 bar.

Cleaning: The spray gun should be cleaned with thinner directly after use, i.e. within the potlife. Pot life: At +18°C – 20°C room temperature, 20 minutes Hardening time: Object temperature: 20°C 60 – 120 minutes Object temperature: 40°C 60 minutes Object temperature: 60°C 30 minutes Object temperature: 80°C 15 minutes Before exposure to the heat allow an evaporation time of 15 minutes in any case!

Sanding: After the specified drying time. Pre-sanding: dry – with P 240 – P 360 Re-sanding: dry – with P 400 – P 600 Due to its high sensitivity to water, Carbon Spray must be dry sanded. In case of wet sanding the water must be allowed to evaporate completely.

Reworking: You can use the following CS products after filling with Carbo Spray: 2K Epoxy High Speed Primer, 2K Filler VOC 540, 2K Carbo Clear, Vario Füller, Wet on Wet Filler, 1 K Filler Storage: Approx. 6 month at +18°C in closed original container.
